The SMOSH West Lakes Football Club was formed in 1996 following the merger of the St. Michael’s Old Scholars and Hindmarsh (SMOSH) and West Lakes Football Clubs. The club currently consists of three senior men’s sides in Divisions 4, 4R, and 4C of the Adelaide Footy League, along with a senior women’s sides in Divisions 2. The club also has a strong junior football program which is administered by the SMOSH West Lakes Junior Football Club (www.smoshwljuniors.com.au).
The club is based on Bartley Terrace at West Lakes Shore and utilises clubrooms which are managed by the West Lakes Sports Club (West Lakes Sports Club). In 2025, major renovations are underway to upgrade the clubrooms, which will be ready for the 2026 football season.
The SMOSH West Lakes Football Club prides itself on providing a community based, family orientated environment and whilst the club maintains a close affiliation with St. Michael’s College, the club is not exclusively for old scholars and we welcome players of all abilities and backgrounds.
